Beautiful ditch

Of course there was no power waiting for us at the new site so I had to dig a trench for the power cable. The contractor who ran the wire complimented me on it's quality and that it was a shame to fill such a nice ditch back in. (it was a good thing i was at work or I may have added the contractor before filling in the ditch). This still did not get us power that night as an inspector would have to bless it ( and be paid) even though I was assured the contractors word was all that was needed. Remember what I said about the advantages of working through a bad situation. We did have power that night (and for the week we waited to get city power) because of the lessons I learned then. Thanks to Jim and Jay and John I had our power pannel wired to a generator about the same time the sweat dried. You guys will never know how much you influenced my life and continue to improve it (even if you do not realize how much teaching simple skills can do) |

Hi all- Please spread the word regarding some AMAZING news. In honor of the 10 year Hurricane Katrina anniversary in August of 2015, LASPCA will now be offering $10 feral surgeries from January through August at our Community Clinic. Great promotions on pet surgeries and microchipping are also being offered (please see attached press release.) Help spread the word that spay/neuter is now affordable and help save the lives of New Orleans ’ animals! This promotional is good for cats caught in Orleans Parish ONLY, though we are still honoring the Jefferson Fix a Feline program as well. Only 1 other announcement before the New Year. We have a litter of 3 semi ferals that we’d like to find a safe colony for ASAP. They are rabies vaccinated 4 month olds (2 male, 1 female) and were recently neutered in anticipation of going to a colony which didn’t end up working out. Anyone interested, please let me know, as they are available for relocation immediately to a responsible caregiver. Posted: 2014-12-28 11:33pm Free Free Free! As a few of you have noticed my site has been dormant for a while. We have had a few serious setbacks recently and the computer was an on going one. Thanks to Best Tech I am back up and running. (that's right. I have to pay a shop to fix my computer because I do not have any relatives under 12 I can lean on) So a belated congradulations to our new families of Starbuck, Gigi, Faith, Jed and Grizzly and Robin. Thank you for your happy notes over Christmas and I am returning messages as fast as I can. Stay tuned for more kittens on our adoption page. We have 11 more to post now (4 -6 mnths old). WISHING ALL OF YOU A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!! |
